The Peaceful Tangles Retreat is a relaxing, enjoyable springtime tangling event for Zentangle artists and Certified Zentangle Teachers. The retreat meets on Tuesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 19, 2027 in beautiful Morgan Hill, California.

Participants enjoy Zentangle art workshops, soothing meditations, lively group activities, time for socializing as well as special surprises.

We gratefully appreciate the Zentangle artists and CZTs who attended the Peaceful Tangles Retreat in May 2026. The retreat was a special time of gathering with tanglers who arrived from California, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, Texas and Virginia.

You’re invited to join us for the Peaceful Tangles Retreat in May 2027.

Tangling in a community, learning new techniques, playing with quality art supplies, gathering with Zentangle artists and making new friends is the essence of The Peaceful Tangles Retreat.

The Peaceful Tangles Retreat workshops include traditional tangling as well as Zentangle inspired art projects taught by a team of 5 enthusiastic Certified Zentangle Teachers.

Participation in the retreat is open to Zentangle artists and CZTs.

We're pleased to welcome a wonderful group of Certified Zentangle Teachers who will treat us to the Zentangle workshops during the 2027 retreat.

Welcome to the 2027 retreat teachers Sheila Burt, CZT from northern California; Alice Clive, CZT from Washington State; Angie Gittles, CZT from Arizona and Maryland; Maria Pahos-Benson, CZT from southern California; and Nancy Domnauer, CZT from northern California.

We're planning lovely Zentangle projects to share with you!

Your CZT presenters will guide you through Zentangle classes that allow you to slow down, focus and relax as you put pen to paper and tangle beautiful Zentangle art.

Attendees will participate in 5 workshops during the 2-day retreat as they learn new tangle patterns, techniques and approaches for creating beautiful Zentangle tiles and Zentangle inspired art.

At the Peaceful Tangles Retreat, attendees will tangle on an array of Zentangle tiles using top quality pens, pencils, tools and more.

Participants will receive a gift bag of art supplies to use during the event and to take home afterwards.

Enjoy the special synergy of tangling in harmony with a group of Zentangle artists and CZTs at the Peaceful Tangles Retreat.

Your Zentangle journey will flourish while you enjoy tangling, learning, socializing and gathering with a friendly group of Zentangle artists.

The Peaceful Tangles Retreat meets at the beautiful Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. This state-of-the-art meeting venue in lovely downtown Morgan Hill, California provides a professional and pleasant setting for our art retreat.

The town of Morgan Hill is a charming community nestled in a valley between rolling, oak-studded foothills as well as forested coastal mountains. Within an hour’s drive are the scenic towns of Monterey, Carmel and Santa Cruz on the Pacific Ocean coastline.
